Beware of online games scams

Scammer are everywhere not only in real-life or in businesses but also through online games. How could this happen? As I mention from my previous post, the player in online games is someone who play and they are unpredictable as you are, such in real-life any stranger to you will be hard to tell what their intention really is. If in real-life got such a liar, in online world there are scammers who will do dirty work as leisure.

How do you want to avoid from being scam? Well, for me it’s simple, do the hard way instead of doing the easy way. As a gamer, there is not much fun to not going through the gameplay from the beginning. Of course in any games, you need to level up your character to get more powerful as the level goes higher. These are the challenge that players should have while playing any games instead of getting an easy way as cheating or buying a full developed character from other players which you might get scammed by.

Even if you want to sell your character you will also have a risk to be scammed by the other players who act as they are interested to buy it. If really need to sell your game account, it is better to sell it face-to-face rather than trusting the person doing transaction via online. Both parties actually at risk of getting scammed. If you are the type of gamer whose lazy enough to go through the gameplay challenge, make sure to observe your buyer/seller from any reliable sources. If you are the seller, try to avoid giving the other player to try out or have a look of your game account because once you give it, you are at risk of being scam. Ask around with other players whether the person that you are dealing with can be trusted or not. Again, beware of the online crooks, they may look nice and trustable but who knows what their real intention is.

Online games and Human Emotions

Online games has since became an evolution of sort that gamers play through online and experience personal thoughts and feelings. This comes from communication between game players and not just from the game itself. This means gamers from around the world unite in one virtual world turned real-life as they communicate together regardless in groups or personal.

My experience of online games is like getting into a virtual chat room where not only for enjoying the game, but also develop friendships and if you got lucky, it might actually bring you to a relationship. Nowadays, games can get you into relationship while playing games where previously people use chat room to get into friendships or relationships. In Online games, players easily develop emotional feelings since it's based on virtual characters or avatar to repesent each player, and communication between players still using the chat console to create meaningful expressions. What I meant by getting emotional is that players somehow seems to be affected by other people doing just like real-life where players develop the emotions sad, touched, mad, happy and others human emotions. Having relations in online games are no different from real-life because we are still human, and its unpredictable sometimes when they are sincere or fake towards other players. How the players really are in real-life will somehow is the same person jsut that they are in online. Through out playing online games it can be exciting yet it can be frustrating if knowing that the other players did something mean or provoking the person.

Whatever it is, always be cautious in online games as we did in real-life. And choose friends carefully. Also if you plan on starting relationship with someone online, will be risky since you don't very well know what kind of person they are but try not hurt yourself and develop hatred towards online games. So, overall online games somehow do play a part with our emotions.

My RAN Online in Memories Screenshot

My RAN Online Story, my first online games

Ran Online is the first free-to-play online games that I’ve played after been introduced by an aquaintance in 2008 and still currently active playing it till now. RAN Online was develop by a Korean game developer Min Communications Inc in 2006 and has expand worldwide through egames.com. The game is a 3D fantasy adventure, Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game (MMORPG) action games. The game is about students defending their schools from a corrupted syndicate organization that cause chaos to the city. It consists of 4 based character classes where player can choose to be an Archer, Shaman, Brawler or Swordman. Each class has its own specialty and purpose depending on how the player build their character.

Throughout my experience playing RAN Online, I made plenty of friends and most of them are Malaysians. This game develops friendships as well as in-game foes which makes the game interesting. Though there's alot of cases whereby players became emotional and sensitive when they are killed by other players during Leveling time, Player Killing time (PK), and also Guild Wars. It's fun to play and makes the game more alive. It also develops teamwork spirit in each player during leveling, player killing (PK) time and also at Guild War events. Building up character statistics and level is essential as it determine your survival in the game. There is no strongest or weakest character players and do not judge the book by it's cover. Because usually players consider someone who can withstand high damage is Strong but when that player attacks, the damage caused are low. That's because of their statistic build are more focused to vitality (health) which is vital for survival. And doesn't mean someone wearing a high level armor are considered strong either. It only depends on their stat build and their equipments (rich people won't have trouble with obtaining strong equipments) And mostly popular type of build is players who focus on strength so can cause hell of damage esspecially with a Strong upgraded weapon. But unfortunately they are prone to death.

Some players naturally try to fight the offender and some escapes instead. Mostly alot of players chose to flee rather then fight because if they die, its possible to drop equipped weapons and armor. That's also one of the cause which leads players into making enemies in the game and becomes a personal matter. This is perhaps why it's called a real-life based game as there's development of friendships, relationships, enemies and whatever that we happens to have in real-life basis. You will need to have alot of patience and effort in leveling up your character. Leveling up is the main priority in the game. Without leveling, you won't progress. Hence, no stat upgrades. And it's not easy to level up too as it requires finding party groups. Leveling solo is a big shot but you still can if you're not able to find any available party.

For this RAN online games I’ve played at egames server, followed by myrosso server and the last RAN Online server that I’ve played is a private server called TrilogyRAN server. Overall, I'm satisfied playing with this game and gained a lot of memorable moments.

The beginning of my online games

This time I'm reviewing about Online games from which a stranger first introduced it to me in a cybercafe. At that point of time when i first saw the games that he was playing was kind of boring since he didn't seem to be doing anything (instead of chatting within the games) other then waiting for the other players to take action. But the thing that caught my interest about the games was on how he can interact with a lot of people just like chatting within a chat room. I have no idea such concept does exist (well, seems may be i never know there such online games before). I used to think that in order to play games through online, you can only able to play by either using multiplayer or direct-connection. But, at that moment I realized there were such online games that we can directly download the client through the net and start playing it for free (Most of them).

Further more not only the interactive kind of concept that caught my interest, the gameplay also seems to be more realistic and fun to play (even though the guy seems not really happy) and challenging since we will be playing with other players in one server. It was this type of games that interest me. Free games and playing it together with others online. What a great concept after all. Before I play an Online games, i used to play Warcraft DOTA and to me,DOTA is just like a duel and it ends very soon. Some people consider it to be very interesting, as for me it seems fun but lack of interest for that type.

During my youth days, I always thought there will be games that you could play with lots of people and not just in a group of 4 or 6 players per room server. Such as Diablo for example, it only allows 4 players per room and this goes the same for Warcraft Dota where you battle between 4 by 4 basis within a room server. I never knew online games exist (because I just busy with my studies at that time) but even so, in order to play you need to buy some credits or tokens etc. to play it. When I first know there were such free-to-play online games I got excited and the stranger that I've met at the cybercafe said those online games mostly are adventure type (which is my type of games), 3D fantasy and also you will be playing with a lot of people (which I was looking forward to).

Well, the next article, I will be reviewing about some online games that I have played so far and of course I need to reinstall all the games back to get some shots for the clips.

Diablo II : The 3 Prime Evil

Personally Diablo is an adventure and action role-playing game concept where basically you need to complete various quests. Primarily such quests like Diablo 2 finale for Act 1 which will require to kill Andariel the demoness that blocks the path east is a MUST complete for you to progress on to Act 2. So certain quests are required to complete to progress on with the story. Then there's also optional quests that is only helpful for leveling up, collecting riches and random special items. Primary quests will be the most easiest to find as it mostly just need to interact with people in town (Those people that has a bubble on top of their head with a (!) mark and will approach closer to you if you're near them)

Keep in mind that few optional quests will only trigger from objects or locations that can be found randomly in the game world. For example there's an optional quest in Act 1 where you need to wonder around the map and find a tome-on-a-stand (a book), which will trigger a quest that will need to find and kill the blood countess. And to finding it, have to wonder around again nearby where the tome is located (usually for quests like this in my experience, the location is not far from where the quest is triggered). Wondering around is also a good way to explore the map fully. So back to the quest, you will come across a castle ruins (a castle which looks like it has been destroyed) and after that it's obvious you will need to explore inside the castle and find the blood countess. The rewards for that quest are really helpful as there's TONS and TONS of gold to collect. At the same time gain experience or probably gain few level-ups too.

There will be alot of cases where you will be trapped surrounded by tons of demons and creatures depending on the difficulty level. In this case, It's strongly recommended for players who play higher difficulty to level up as much as you can so can withstand the damage taken and damages of your attacks. And also Will require some basic logical thinking such as attacking an ice creature with a ice weapon which will cause little damage because of their resistance to ice element. And attacking Fire creature with a ice weapons will cause terrible damage because of their weakness to ice. And for the undead like zombies and demons, using a holy weapon will cause terrible damage to them.

The game is bloody brilliant and can also play through multiplayer too. Can connect to a server or by using IP address to play with friends. And can enjoy more bloody experience and greater gameplay. I suggest play the hardest difficuly for multiplayer games to have satisfaction of the game. I enjoyed it, it's fantastic and never regret playing it. It's a MUST buy for all those who have not yet played. You will surely be addicted as i did. For those who are new to knowing the game, there's 3 diablo games so far. The original Diablo, Diablo 2 and Diablo 2 Lord of destruction expansion.

As for the clips, I am still searching for the CD somewhere in my room. So, stay tune for the coming updates for Diablo II clip video.

Clips for Diablo Lord of Terror by Starfreedomz

Diablo: Lord of Terror

Online games was part of my life ever since it was introduced within a multiplayer concept. The first multiplayer online games that I ever played was Diablo which was released in 1997 by Blizzard Entertainment. I've played this game for years and it became my favorite games ever with my best friend whom got influenced by me at the time. Personally Diablo is an adventure and action role-playing game concept where basically you need to complete various quests and fight the evil minions as well as the bosses in certain stage.

Today, I've been playing Diablo once again and I really lost touch playing with it. Lucky for me, I still saved my Diablo character intact and I would not say its easy to play again because of adapting the hot-keys and such. Still I manage to complete the whole games within 4 hours of gameplay! I admit, it still hard to play when ever you go further to the higher stage of the games, especially dealing with the hellish minions. Yes, it still fun to play but sadly nobody play Diablo online anymore (via battle.net) even though the graphics are way outdated, but if you are still loyal to Diablo, there's the urge to play the game of the year all over again.

While playing, I managed to capture some scenes while in Diablo and I'm glad that I manage to complete the whole quest within a day and came out with the clips. Feel free to see my work for Diablo: Lord of Terror Scenes. Check out for my next post ^^v
